  • 13th Annual Angel Rock Benefit & Dance – CR Hospice Society’s major fundraising event of the year.   • Annual Dinner & Art Auction with Nyuymbalees Cultural Centre at the Quinsam Hall. Monday, April 21st    Easter Monday!

  • Easter Extravaganza at Balance Equestrian Centre (just off of Willis on Walworth Road) from 1-3pm; tickets will be on sale beginning at 1pm sharp (250-203-6042). Easter Treat Hunt ($5) at 1:15pm, Pony Rides ($5) from 1:30-3pm and all other games/activities ($5) between 1 and 3pm such as find your own egg in the chicken coop and paint it at the dĂ©cor station, petting farm, pin the tail on the horse, face painting, balloon animals and more! Saturday, April 26th

  • Cedar Pull and weaving with Chief Wayne Bell hosted by the Museum at CR. Meet at 9am to travel to forest site and participate in two hour traditional Cedar Pull (a hatchet is recommended – wear clothing and footwear suitable for wet forest conditions) followed by a workshop at the Museum (2-4pm) where Wayne will demonstrate basic approaches to cedar weaving (roses, rings, bracelets, rope, coasters and simple baskets).   • Berwick by the Sea presents “Living Well Expo” at the Community Centre from 11am-4pm. Over 40 Exhibitors! Booths, demos, door prizes, guest speaker, workshops and entertainment – Free admission.

  • CR Singers spring concert “Springtime on the River” will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican church at 2pm. Joined by local musical phenomenon, Carter Johnson, as a special guest. There will be something for everyone at the concert, from easy jazz to My Fair Lady. Tickets available from choir members or at the door.

  • CR Hospice Society presents John Wort Hannam at the Campbell River Baptist Church. John is a folk/roots artist with 5 released albums, a Juno nomination and a Canadian folk music award. Doors open at 7:30pm and the concert starts at 8pm. Call 286-1121 for details/tickets ($20).

Thursday, April 17th

  • Learn more about NIC’s Metal Jewelry Design certificate from the program graduates: attend an open house, 1-3pm, at their studios (Campbell River campus) and meet students, instructors, view their work, talk about equipment, skills and techniques.
