TUESDAY November 29
** Reminder ** 11th Annual Christmas Arts & Craft Fair - November 10 to December 24: Staff and volunteers at the Campbell River Art Gallery are busily decking the halls to prepare for the 11th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Market. The Victorian-themed Christmas Market opens Thursday, Nov. 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. After 5 p.m. Nov. 10, the public is invited to stop by for a cup of hot apple cider and a Christmas treat while they spend some time browsing the beautiful boutique. With at least 21 new artisans featured, the Market will be bigger and better than ever and will provide Christmas shoppers with the opportunity to purchase quality handcrafts, support local artisans and support the Campbell River Art Gallery. The Market will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Christmas Eve. The Gallery is planning artisan demos every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. during the Christmas Market, so make sure to stop in and see an artisan at work!

WEDNESDAY November 30
Jam Night: Every Wednesday evening a group of musicians sit around and share music in and informal, relaxed setting. Everyone is welcome to come and join in or just sit and listen. At Serious Coffee from 6:30 – 8:30pm. For more information please call 250-923-1312.

Au Couture Appetizer ~ Cheddar & Co. Cooking Class: Delve into the world of finger food, presentation and flavor principles, fun informative and easy. Tapas style eating is popular way to make your friends and a big home run at Christmas. Class runs from 6-8pm. Cost is $65 per person. Yuletide by the Fireside: Presented by Island Voices Chamber Choir at 8:00pm at the Maritime Heritage Centre. Tickets available at the Visitor Centre. Open Mic Night: Every Friday evening Serious Coffee in Willow Point hosts open mic. Come in and sign up to perform or just come and enjoy an evening of amazing local talent. All ages welcome. Christmas Parade & Starlight Shopping: Downtown at 5:00pm. North Pole 2 for 1 Skate: Campbell River residents are invited to the grand opening at the North Pole for a 2 for 1 skate. Santa will be on site from 3-4pm. Holiday Countdown: Super Saturday Art Class: Start the countdown to the holidays! Paint, draw, collage, and decorate a hand-crafted advent calendar! Admission is by donation. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information please call 250-287-2261.

SPCA Christmas Bazaar: Let the spirit of giving shine through and help the animals at the Campbell River SPCA. Donations of crafts and baking are gratefully accepted. Nutcracked ~ Tidemark Theatre: Scrooge and the Sugar Plum Fairy go toe to toe as all the delights of the Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol collide. Local performers team up with professional directors Danette Bell and Neil Maffin to create a show that is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit. 7:30pm. SUNDAY December 4
Pier Street Christmas Market: The Best assortment of Christmas crafts and gift ideas comes to the MARITIME HERITAGE CENTRE from 10:00am – 3:30pm on the first three Sundays in December.  50 (plus) vendors!  The Campbell River Children’s Choir will be entertaining us all on Sunday, December 4th and on Sunday, December 18th, which is one more reason to visit.  Our admission is only $1 for adults and kids are free.  The kitchen is open all day, so come for lunch.  Bring a shopping bag to carry home your loot!

7th Annual Winterfest Parade: 7th Annual Winterfest Parade in Campbell River! Santa will be participating in the parade with Rudolf, Frosty & The Grinch too! This year’s theme – Nutcracker! Parade route: Mariner Square -> Up 14th Ave -> right onto Ironwood St -> right onto 16th Ave -> for arrival at Spirit Square (13th Ave Entrance). Christmas Round the World and Light up the Tree: Two great events in one single day.   Celebrate the coming of Christmas with us as we combine the lighting of our 20 foot Christmas Tree with a demonstration of Christmas from other countries. Ladies Week at Tyee Marine: This Campbell River tradition was originally started in the late 80's and has been a customer favourite for many years. All gals are welcome to come in and take advantage or ladies only special savings. A great way to get that guy something he really wants and save money too. Sale runs December 4-11th.
