Gourmet Dinner Inn ~ Cooking Class: Make your kitchen 5 star, learn easy professional techniques and take the ordinary to extraordinary making your next dinner party the subject of all your facebook friends. Learn menu planning to seasoning, slice and dicing, roasting and braising just like the pros. This class is a must for those who want to up the ante and push their culinary skills. Thai 1 On ~ Cheddar & Co. Cooking Class: This introductory class on Thai cooking is for anyone who loves Southeast Asian food. Exotic spices, pastes and combinations that can be intimating, will be simplified for you with expert guidance. This healthy cuisine is inspiring and makes for flair at any guest or family table. Community Foundation Annual Fall Dinner: Our fundraiser features a gourmet meal in the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Maritime Heritage Centre. We have much to celebrate this year. To add to the evening, the silent auction will feature several original works of art donated by an estate. We are proud to have CIBC as our lead sponsor. Their support of our efforts is greatly appreciated.  Tickets are on sale now through the Board members or by calling the Foundation office 250-203-7707. Tickets are $100 each with 50% of the ticket price available as a tax receipt. Come out for a night of fun and excellent food in support of your community. This event provides the core funding for the Foundation's annual operating expenses. Your attendance guarantees another great year ahead. 

FRIDAY Oct. 28th
Storm Game: Bring the whole family out to Strathcona Gardens and cheer on the Campbell River Storm as they take on the Oceanside Generals. Puck drops at 7:30pm sharp. Go Storm! Adult tickets still only $10, children only $7.

Learn to Carve Pumpkins like a Pro: Have the best pumpkin on the block this Hallowe’en!  Master carver Bill Henderson will be at the Museum on Saturday, October 29 from 1-3pm to assist aspiring artists with creating a one- of-a- kind Jack O’Lantern.  Bring your own pumpkin and carving tools, and take this opportunity to get some tips from an expert.  Cost is $5 per person. Vamp & Werewolf Theme Party: Dance & Skating Party: Skate, dance, karaoke and lip sync to your favorite Vampire and Werewolf tracks from Teen Wolf, Vampire Diaries and the Twilight Saga. Visit the Haunted Hotel October 29 & 30 : If you don’t think the Museum is haunted with ghosts from the past, then you haven’t visited at Hallowe’en.  Be sure to see the old Willows Hotel come back to life for this special occasion, with eerie visions and creepy sounds, and see what surprises await you around the corner! 2-4pm both days.  A toonie for admission.

Halloween Party with Sweet Tease Burlesque:…and The Skunk Hollow Band! Come party with them to support the Willow Point Hall Heritage Status Fund. Saturday, October 29th at the Willow Point Lions Hall. Doors open at 7:30pm, Burlesque show is at 8:30 with dance to follow. There will be COSTUME prizes so dress up… after all it's Halloween!
