This Cooking
Class Series features authentic dishes from Loas, India, Vietnam and Myanmar.
The guest chefs are
individuals who are originally from these countries and now call Campbell River
home. Each evening will include 2 to 3
recipes and a cookbook, which offers helpful tips and information such as where
to purchase unique ingredients. Classes are $35.00 each or do the series of 4
for only $100.00 - limited to 25 seats.
All proceeds will support the Immigrant Welcome Centre’s local drop-in
groups. These weekly classes have been scheduled to start next Tuesday evening,
May 21 and include May 28, June 4 & 11 from 6pm to approximately 8:30pm at
Robron Centre in Room A114 - 740 Robron Road. Payment is required before the

Antics Theatre is in rehearsal for their upcoming full
length play Bedtime Stories by Norm Foster. Antics Theatre performed Bedtime
Stories three years ago and due to popular demand it is happening again. This
hilarious play will have you follow interweaving characters in their comic
struggle to find the meaning of love. To
find out what is going on you will have to attend Bedtime Stories, May 29, 30,
31, and June 1st, 2013 at the Willow Point Hall. Tickets are $38 and are on
sale at The Flower Shop in Willow Point.

Beginning today and running thru to July 3rd, visit Home
Depot (1444 Island Hwy) during business hours (daily) and purchase a $2 ‘Paper
Hammer’ at the tills to help raise funds for the Willow Point Supportive Living
Society. Willow Point Supportive Living Society is a totally self-supporting
non-profit, charitable Society that own and operate a safe, comfortable,
affordable Independent Seniors Housing complex on Larwood Road in Campbell
River. We appreciate donations to cover the ‘extras’ to make living
independently more practical such as grab bars, levered handles on taps and
door handles, raised toilets, walk-in tub to shower conversions, raised
gardens, and to address any other accessibility issues that may come up.

Campbell River Community
Foundation “Swing for Charity” Golf Tournament takes place. Once again participants
will be enjoying 18 holes of golf at the beautiful Storey Creek Golf Course,
then heading to the Sportsplex for a delicious four-course, plated dinner.
Playing in our golf tournament is fun day out and an awesome way to support
your community!

The
Tara Dancers “Dance of the Celts”

A highly entertaining Irish dance show in which the mystery,
intrigue and wonder of the ancient Celts will be vividly portrayed. All of the
Tara School of Irish Dancing’s productions are based on original scripts
written and choreographed by dance director, Margaret Mullen. Showings at 2pm

sculpture, pottery, photography, fabric, printmaking, painting and more plus it
offers an opportunity to meet the talented individuals who create the artwork
and fine crafts. Many of these studios continue to be open throughout the year.

unique organic shapes/images using only thread, yarn and bits of fabric. Learn
the basic process and limitations while making a few simple images. Then test
your new skills by creating your choice between sailboat, flora and/or an eagle as seen in many of
Carol’s West Coast landscape pieces. Sewing machine required. $15.00 kit
included. Recommend that students have experience with free motion sewing.
Takes place Saturday AND Sunday, noon – 4pm. Members: $123 + HST, Non-Members:
