This weekly Pier Street Farmers Market is located in one of the most beautiful spots of Campbell River right in front of the entrance to the Discovery Fishing Pier, surrounded by the stunning scenery of Georgia Strait, Fisherman’s Wharf, Discovery Pier, and the new Maritime Heritage Centre. The Pier Street Farmers Market operates as an open-air market, offering a wide selection of farm products, processed foods, an array of crafts and arts, fun and entertainment—always fresh. Customers can spend their Sunday morning on the market, enjoying a walk and ice cream on the unique Discovery Pier or stroll the adjacent harbour where they can buy fresh seafood. September 1st – 22ndDigital Art Exhibit ~ Museum at Campbell River
Everyone's invited to a unique opportunity to view the world-class digital art exhibit on display in the Museum at Campbell River until September 22. With support from the Province of BC, representatives from the Campbell River Creative Industries Council (CRCIC) were thrilled to officially open the world-class Tracing Home digital art exhibit showcasing selected pieces from the 2011 SIGGRAPH conference. September 23 & 24 – Big Book Sale!
St. Peters Anglican Church is hosting a huge book sale on Friday from 2-8pm and Saturday 10-4pm. All proceeds go to community service programs including emergency food hampers and church missions.

September 23 to October 21 – Watercolour Painting Part 1
Looking to master the art of watercolour? Don’t know where to begin? Join regional artist Sandra Lamb for part I of this beginner course in watercolour painting. Construct your own personal watercolour reference guide and then get ready for Part II, where you’ll use these techniques for your own projects! Do you have a project on the go? Want a relaxing environment in which to create? Join artist and instructor Sandra Lamb Friday afternoons for two and a half hours of painting. September 24 Chamber of Commerce Business Awards of Distinction
Nominees will receive recognition for their achievements and impact to our local economy and community and winners will be announced at the 2011 Business Awards of Distinction Saturday September 24th at the Tidemark Theatre. September 24 – CR Hospital Auxiliary Fundraiser Golf Tournament
Men's and ladies charity fun golf tournament. $100 entry fee per golfer and includes golf, breakfast, lunch and prizes. September 24 Super Saturday ~ Silly Sea Sculptures
Come get creative under the sea! Using mixed media and found objects create a one of a kind mini sculpture based on a creature in the ocean! 1- 3pm at the Art Gallery.  Admission is by donation. September 24 – Slopstacle Fun!

September 24 – Taylor Swift Themed Party
Dance, skate and sing to your favorite Taylor Swift songs. Come dressed as yourself or Taylor. There will be fun dance offs, Taylor trivia, karaoke and lip sink competitions. September 25 – Bike Sale!
Need or want a bike? The Fraternal Order of Eagles Recovered Bike Program has you covered. Check out their bikes sales on the last Sunday of every month from 9-11am at 900 Alder St. They also accept good, used, bikes by donation. Call Walter at 287-44-46.

September 25 – Haig Brown Festival
To all past festival participants & fans – plans for the 10th annual Haig-Brown Festival are underway! Once again, the event is sponsored by the Museum at Campbell River, with support from the City of Campbell River and Greenways Land Trust. The date is Sunday September 25th, from Noon to 4:00pm at the Haig-Brown House, 2250 Campbell River Road. There will be environmental & literary displays, fishing demonstrations, children’s activities and crafts, tours, readings, a book sale, live music and tasty food.
