MONDAY Nov. 21
November 10th to December 24th11th Annual Christmas Arts & Craft Fair: Staff and volunteers at the Campbell River Art Gallery are busily decking the halls to prepare for the 11th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Market. The Victorian-themed Christmas Market opens Thursday, Nov. 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. After 5 p.m. Nov. 10, the public is invited to stop by for a cup of hot apple cider and a Christmas treat while they spend some time browsing the beautiful boutique. With at least 21 new artisans featured, the Market will be bigger and better than ever and will provide Christmas shoppers with the opportunity to purchase quality handcrafts, support local artisans and support the Campbell River Art Gallery. The Market will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Christmas Eve. The Gallery is planning artisan demos every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. during the Christmas Market, so make sure to stop in and see an artisan at work!

TUESDAY Nov. 22
Oranges & Sunshine: Tidemark Theatre, CR Festival of Film. $12/person at 7:00pm. Set in the 1980's, a social worker from Nottingham named Margaret Humphreys (Emily Watson) stumbles upon a shocking revelation that spans countries, governments and generations. She learns that thousands of children in the care of British Social Services were illegally and silently deported from the United Kingdom to Australia in the 1940's. National Child Day: Celebrate National Child Day! A variety of fun activities for kids 6 years and under! Includes family gym, family place, dancing, story times, cardboard city, safety zone and of course the Make It & Take it Crafts. Join us for Christmas fun and Christmas Spirit at St. Peter's Anglican Church's Old-Fashioned Christmas Bazaar. Parents, bring your cameras to photograph your children visiting Santa Nov. 25 from 4-5pm and Nov 26 from 10 am-noon. There will be live music and children's activities. We will have our famous Christmas cake available as well as hand knitting, sewing, and home-baking. You will find gift baskets, jewellery, wreaths, collectibles, books, specialty gifts and lots more. Home-style turkey soup, chili, hotdogs, and desserts will be served. Friday 2-8pm and Saturday 10-4pm. Merry Christmas to all!

Banff Mountain Film Festival: The Banff Mountain Film Festival is an international film competition featuring the world's best footage on mountain subjects. The festival began in 1976 and is held annually on the first weekend in November in Banff, Alberta, Canada. The year 2010 marks the 35th anniversary of the festival.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings Banff to audiences around the globe. Immediately after the Festival ends in November, a selection of the best films go on tour across Canada, the United States, and internationally from Scotland to South Africa to China, Japan, New Zealand, Antarctica, and points in between. Each year, the films travel to 32 countries reaching more than 245,000 people at over 635 screenings. November 25 to December 16thBeginner Watercolour Painting – Part II
A continuation of Part 1, this four week session builds upon basic skills to apply to new projects with an opportunity to get started on a simple composition of personal choice. For those who have taken watercolour painting classes before, this is the perfect opportunity to update your knowledge and get in some practice. Girls Night Out ~ Pizza & Pajama Dance Party: The dress code for this skating event includes pajamas and long underwear - prizes for the best dressed. Enjoy hanging with the girls listening to your favorite tunes, dancing, skating, snacking on pizza, singing karaoke and playing fun games. At Strathcona Gardens from 6:00-9:00pm. Sing-Along Sound of Music: Yes, it's been around the World, and now it's coming to Campbell River! Having started in the UK back in 1999 Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music has now become a worldwide phenomenon, playing to packed houses across the globe! It even filled the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles! For those of you not yet converted, Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen Technicolor, complete with subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along!
The fun-filled evening starts with a vocal warm-up led by your host for the night, who will also take you through your complimentary 'magic moments pack' containing various props to be used at strategic points throughout the show. Then of course there is the famous "fancy-dress" competition in which everyone who has come in costume is invited onto the stage to show off their fantastic tailoring skills. Costume is not obligatory but highly recommended! It's the perfect night out for those who love to have fun and sing ---- even if you are not in tune! Buy your tickets early because this show sells out. An Altrusa club of Campbell River fundraiser ---Supporting 20 local community groups and organizations!
