Friday, February 6th

  •         Enjoy a night of Bach to Piazzola on Quadra Island!  Acclaimed ensemble Vivant at the Quadra Community Centre. 7PM. Tickets at Music Plant, Inspirations in Quathiaski Cove, and Works of H’art in Heriot Bay.

  •         Arena & Pool Sleepover Party at Strathcona Gardens, 8:30pm till 10am in the morning. After everyone has gone home, we invite the kids back for some overnight fun: late-night skating, swimming, lazer tag, sports, relay races and games. The weary party-goers will wind down with popcorn and a movie, and then sleep in one of our activity rooms and wake up to a light breakfast. Call 250-287-9234 for more information ($35).

  •          Rivercity Players Presents: a Comedy Play; Nana’s Naughty Knickers. Tickets available from Impressions Custom Framing, CR Laundromat and Comfort Zone Foods. Showing at Rivercity Stage (1080 Hemlock Street) 7-10 PM Thurs/Fri/Sat.  for the next three weekends in February!  Feb. 15th matinee 2pm.


Saturday, February 7th

  • ·         The Pacific Salmon Foundation is holding a Dinner & Auction at the Eagles Hall; Tickets are $50 and there is a Western Theme! Doors open at 5:30pm with cocktails, dinner at 7pm and live auction at 8:30pm. Call 250-923-0939 for more info.

  • ·       Museum Lecture on the Douglas Treaties with UVic guest speaker Neil Vallance, 1-2:30pm. Call 250-287-3103 to reserve a seat ($7).

  •        Spend the evening floating in the leisure pool watching a family movie at Strathcona Gardens. $6/$15 admission includes 2 slices of pizza, a drink and an ice-cream cone. 250-287-9234

Sunday, February 8th

  •  Pre-Valentines Vendor Event at the CR Common featuring fun home-based businesses, including Younique, Sweetlegs, Miche Bags, Jamberry, Klassy Stuff and much more! Cash and Carry items as well as orders accepted.

  • 2nd Annual Dentistry from the Heart with Dr. Finn, Dr. Neate, Dr. Helpard and over 20 staff from Dogwood Dental. They will be providing free extractions, fillings, and where time allows, cleanings to patients 19+ who otherwise could not afford dental treatment. 8am-5pm, they will be working on a first come, first served basis. Monday, February 9th   BC Family Day Holiday!

  •         Kinsmen’s Annual Family Day Pancake Breakfast. 8am-11am at the Sportsplex, followed by a wide     variety of activities from 10am-2pm. Bring the whole family!

  • February 21st -  CR Fish & Wildlife Assoc. Annual Awards and Wild Game Banquet at Thunderbird Hall. Doors open 5:30pm,  Dinner 6:30pm, Dance 9pm.
