Monday, November 25^th

• Christmas in Clay: have fun and create awesome clay projects at the Community Centre Craft Room, 3:30pm-5pm from November 25^th till December 5^th. Projects will be ready for pick-up the 3^rd week of December just in time for Christmas!

Tuesday, November 26^th   

• Artisans Christmas Market continues at the Public Art Gallery, open Monday to Saturday (10am-5pm) until December 24^th. Browse through a gorgeous boutique-style market to find that special gift. 
• The Immigrant Welcome Centre will be holding a Cooking Class Series at Robron Centre, Tuesdays until December 10^th (6pm-8:30pm).  Featuring authentic dishes from around the world; each evening will include 2 or 3 recipes and participants receive a cook book. • Extended ‘Open Studio’ at the Art Gallery, Tuesdays from 6:30-9pm, drop in to for life drawing - $12.50 per session. Artists at all levels gather to paint, sketch or sculpt from a live model each week. Call 250-287-2261 for more information. 
• The Volunteer CR centre will be closed on November 26^th as it hosts the Regional Training Roadshow. Call 250-287-8111 to register!

Wednesday, November 27^th   

• The Campbellton Neighbourhood Association invites all interested parties to attend a general meeting at Eagles Hall, 6pm-8pm (bring your food bank donation!), to discuss ‘Setting the Direction for Campbellton’. For more information please call 250-287-8807. 
• As part of AIDS awareness week, AIDS Vancouver Island and VIHA team up to present “Blood blitz”, a testing day at 1371 Unit C Cedar Street where that is available for everyone, 9:30am-1:30pm. This includes the 60second HIV test; flu shots will also be available. 
• Upcoming ‘Traditional Swag Wreath’ workshop being offered at the Ladybug Greenhouse – call 250-923-0707 to pre-register and get more details.

Thursday, November 28^th

• Shoreline Musical Theatre presents “The Sound of Music” by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein. Packed with beloved songs like “Edelweiss” and “The Lonely Goatherd” as well as some ‘surprise’ tunes from the original stage production. This is sure to delight all ages and is a great way to begin the Christmas Season. The show runs November 28^th to 30^th, 7:30pm, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday. Get your tickets at the Tidemark Theatre (250-287-PINK). 
• The Immigrant Welcome Centre is hosting “Tastes of Home” at Sybil Andrews Cottage: participants each bring a traditional winter dish to share for dinner and over the meal we will share our roots, our culture, and which winter traditions we cherish. Friday, November 29^th   

• Shoreline Musical Theatre presents “The Sound of Music” at the Tidemark Theatre 
• Starlight Shopping and Big Truck Parade: a night of big rigs, lights, entertainment and shopping! The parade starts at 5pm (19A@Rockland) with 40 BIG, bright trucks driving down 19A onto Shoppers Row and into Spirit Square. Christmas Tree/Spirit Square light up and 10 big trucks will be on display with live music, Shoo Shoo the Clown, Town Crier Captain Thunderpants, and Salvation Army carolers. Get pictures with Santa, decorate cookies, make crafts at the Art Gallery, and check-out the entertainment in the Tidemark Theatre Courtyard; face-painting, delicious food vendors, and shopping, too! 
• 39^th Annual Rotary TV & Online Auction: over 500 items up for grabs on TV Shaw Cable channel 4. www.rotarytvauction.com  
• Cosmic Rock n’ Glow Swim at Strathcona Gardens (Ages 11-17) from 8pm-9:30pm. A Night of games, challenges and fun. $5 includes glow item, snacks and drinks. Call 250-287-9234 for more information. 
• Super Saturday: Curved Spoon Faces. Drop-in at the Art Gallery, 1-3pm; look at the back of a provided spoon and then draw what you see. These silly self-portraits are guaranteed to get you giggling! 
• Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar at St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Over half a century of Christmas Tradition featuring our famous Christmas cake, gourmet preserves, home baking, hand knitting, sewing, crafts, collectibles, books, jewelry, gift baskets, wreaths, auctions, gifts for children to purchase, cool gifts for teens, church cook books and more! With Home-style turkey soup, chili, hot dogs, and pie at the concession. Friday from 1pm to 7pm (visit Santa from 4pm-6pm).

Saturday, November 30^th   

• Shoreline Musical Theatre presents “The Sound of Music” at the Tidemark Theatre. 2pm Matinee and final show at 7:30pm. 
• The Festival of Trees ‘lights up’ at the Museum at Campbell River and will continue until the end of December. Awards will be given to the decorators (i.e.‘most unique’, ‘most traditional’) and you can come in and cast your vote for ‘People’s Choice’ before December 21^st. Call 250-287-3103 for more info. 
•  Artists will be ‘on-site’ at the Museum, Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 12pm-4pm. Come and meet some of our local and island artists as they discuss, exhibit and demonstrate their creations. 
• Neon Dance Party for Kids (age 6-12) at Strathcona Gardens from 6pm-9pm. Awards for best outfit, most neon and overall brightest person. Listen to your favorite tunes, skate, dance, snack on pizza, sing karaoke, play games, and try our new glow-in-the-dark bowling game! $10 includes skate rental, pizza and snacks. • CRIB Elders host their annual Christmas Bazaar at Thunderbird Hall, 10am-2pm, with crafts, arts, jewelry, concession, door prizes, a Toonie Table, and a Cut-A-Thon by donation. Table Rental is $25 or 2 for $40 (call Kara Henderson at 250-202-0115). 
• Island Voices Chamber Choir is celebrating their new Christmas CD with a concert and special guests at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 8pm. Tickets are available from the Visitor Centre on a cash-only basis($18/$15) or call Anne for more information at 250-287-4236.

• Illuminating Body Work is offering four health-related classes for FREE – just call 250-203-1793 to reserve your seat! Special speaker, Lee Hindrichs, will be at 1193 South Alder to share her wealth of knowledge and experience on essential oils, core health and ‘making-over’ your medicine cabinet. 
• Local artist Carnie Heine will be sharing her painting tricks at the Community Centre from 9am-12pm in this Glass painting class. Registration is $37 which includes painting supplies and brushes. Sunday, December 1^st   

• The Pier Street Association presents its annual Christmas Craft Market at the Maritime Heritage Centre! Sundays (December 1^st, 8^th & 15^th) from 10am-3:30pm 
• The 9^th Annual WINTERFEST Parade, featuring Santa, Rudolph, Frosty, the Grinch and so many more, will be leaving Save On Foods in Mariner Square at 11am! Travelling up 14^th to Ironwood, connecting to 16^th Ave. and finishing in Spirit Square where you can join in the fun – there will be musical entertainment, hot chocolate and goodies! • The 6^th Annual Enchanted Forest (Hospital Foundation Fundraiser) returns to the Tidemark Theatre for 10 days, where the different business-sponsored/decorated trees will be on display and bid upon. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a Fetal Monitor for our Maternity Department. There will be a prize for “best decorated tree”. Please call 250-850-2418 for more information.
