The summer seems to be speeding by as we head into the last week of June and get ready for Campbell River's Canada Day celebrations!
Serious Coffee will be holding thier weekly open stage night at their Willow Point location in Campbell River tonight beginning at 6pm. Head on down to enjoy some great local music, or show your talent in a performance of your own!

On Tuesday there will be another Lunch in the Square at the Spirit Square downtown. Tomorrow's performer will be Eric Benson, a BC artist who plays amazing acousitc and folk rock sets. Grab a bagged lunch and take a nice relaxing break from 11:30 am to 1 pm as you enjoy some free music.

Wednesday night, Serious Coffee will be holding their Jam Night beginning at 6:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for musicians to come together and share their music in a relaxed setting. However, anyone is welcome to come in and join, or even just sit and enjoy.
The 1st Annual Comox Taxi Team Charity Golf Tournament begins on Wednesday at 1:30pm at Glacier Greens. This event benefits the Comox Military Family Resource Centre and LINC Youth Centre. There is a $110 entry fee for this event.
I know many of you have been waiting all year, and on Wednesday the Transformations on the Shore finally begins again! We're looking forward to another event filled with talented artists and can't wait to once again have the Frank James Park full of carvings. The competition will finish on July 3rd.
The Eagles Lounge will be holding Free Pool and Darts all day Wednesday as well, a great opportunity for all those looking for some cheaper, fun activites to take part in.

The Clean Living Initiative team will once again be heading out this Thursday to remove rubbish from Campbell River's sidewalks, one block at a time. This week they will be starting at 4 pm at 557 Alexander Drive. If you would like to participate or find out more information, please call Susan Black at 250-286-4838.
As a kick off to Canada Day, the Senior's Canada Day Celebration will be taking place at various locations on Thursday, including Ironwood Place, New Horizons Care, Evergreen Care, and the Yuculta Lodge.
Ready for another free performance in the Concert in the Square series? This Thursday presents The Impalas from 7pm to 9pm, a band that has always provided a great performance and kept the crowd moving. Grab your lawnchairs and come down to the Spirit Square to enjoy this event and get excited for Canada Day!

I hope you enjoy the week, and stay tuned to find out what events will be taking place on Friday, July 1st.....Canada Day!
