WEDNESDAY Oct. 12th
Chamber Business Expo: Don’t miss local business exhibitors showcasing services, products and business support in the 2011 Campbell River Chamber Business Expo. This is a free event on Wednesday, October 12. 2-8 pm in the CR Community Centre. Business exhibitors include Investors Group, Web Sense Solutions, Coastal Airlines, Capacity Forest Management, 99.7 The River, and many, many more!  There will also be free on site business workshops. Jam Session: From 6:30 – 9:00pm at Serious Coffee every Wednesday evening a group of musicians sit around and share music in and informal, relaxed setting. Everyone is welcome to come and join in or just sit and listen. For more info: 250-923-1312.

Magical Fairies & Elves Day: Make wings, decorate magic wands and crowns, learn the elf dance and take a big splash in the mystical leisure pool. Enjoy some tasty fairy morsels and elf approved snacks. This will be a great afternoon full of imagination and fun for children 7 and under. Parents are encouraged to stay and play.

Jim Byrnes and the Sojourners: When Marcus Mosely, Will Sanders and Ron Small went into the studio to do background vocals for blues legend Jim Byrnes' latest Juno Award winning album, House of Refuge, the gospel trio took on an identity of its own. Dubbed by Byrnes as The Sojourners, they have developed a significant following as a result of ongoing critical acclaim from the CD and ensuing public performances. The deeply soulful combination of Jim Byrnes and The Sojourners will take you on a journey you will want to trip through again and again! The McPherson Trio: The Campbell River Friends of Music are sponsoring a concert with the McPherson Trio at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Concert starts at 7:30pm. Tickets on sale now at the Visitor Centre for $20.

Extreme Sports Challenge: Plan for a fun afternoon of crazy sport challenges. Bobsledding, speed skating, ice soccer, ice golf, ice darts and ice skiing. Bring your helmet!
