Monday, May 5th
  • In partnership with the City of Campbell River, Volunteer CR is excited to announce that they will be moving to a new location at 900 Alder St – effective today! New office hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm. www.volunteercr.ca


Wednesday, May 7th  

  • Rivercity Players presents “Over the River & through the Woods” at the Rivercity Stage (1080 Hemlock Street). 7:30pm, May 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 2pm on May 4th. Tickets are available from Impressions Custom Framing, CR Laundromat or Comfort Zone Foods. 
  • Comedian Ron James is back at the Tidemark Theatre for his ‘Take No Prisoners’ tour, 7pm. For tickets, call 250-287-PINK or visit www.tidemarktheatre.com

Thursday, May 8th  

  • 17th Annual National March for Life in Ottawa and Victoria – this year we will also be gathering at St. Patrick’s Church (34 S. Alder) for a short walk in conjunction with this event. Rain of Shine.

Friday, May 9th      

  • Whale & Wildlife Festival at the Tidemark Theatre at 7pm. Tickets are $15; 250-287-PINK 
  • Summer Kick Off (6-12) Pizza & Dance Party at Strathcona Gardens. Dance to all of your favorite Top 40 Hits! Dance offs, music trivia, karaoke and lip sync competitions – three hours of fun and food! 6pm-9pm, $10 admission, call 287-9234 for more information. 
  • The Great Freezie Shoot Off (All Ages) at Strathcona Gardens. Join us for a massive water fight and spend the evening competing in various water battles and challenges. Bring all of your water spray toys from home – there will be prizes for the furthest shot, hardest shot and the wettest shot. If you bring a water pistol/spray toy you will earn yourself a freezie! Saturday, May 10th

  • Rotary’s 2nd Annual Giant Book Sale at the Community Centre, 10am-4pm. 1000s of books, some dating back a century. Buy a large bag for $20 and fill ‘er up! Proceeds go to the community for various Rotary projects. 
  • Move for Health Day at Strathcona Gardens. Join our largest aquasize class ever (1:30-2:15pm) – free fun for the whole family: dance, giggle and wiggle to the music. After the class, feel free to stay and enjoy the rest of the public swim until 4pm. Call 287-9234 for more information.

  • Mother’s Day Breakfast at the Willow Point Hall Lion’s Club with eggs, sausages, bacon and more! By donation between 9am and 12pm. 
  • Pier Street Famers Market & Arts Fair: Sundays 10am-2:30pm down between the Maritime Heritage Centre and the Fishing Pier. Fresh breakfast, lunch, coffees, pastries, breads, arts and crafts, live entertainment and more!! 
  • Autocross – come test your driving skills at Saratoga Speedway, 3pm – bring your street car. Saratogaracing.ca 
  • Campbell River Children’s Choir invites the public to their Spring Concert “Perfect” at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3pm. The concert will feature a wide variety of styles and songs – tickets are $15 available in advance from The Music Plant or on the day at the door (cash or cheque only!). 
  • 2014 VIMX Championship Series Round 4! Racing starts at 10am, Rain or Shine.
