  • Join Nikki van Schyndal at the library for this engaging slideshow and talk. She will share stories from her new book, “Becoming Wild: Living the Primitive Life on a West Coast Island”; how she relied on her knowledge of BC’s coastal flora and fauna and the ancient techniques of hunting and gathering to survive, of making clothes from cedar bark and fish hooks from bones. 6:30pm at the Library – admission is free and her new book will be available for Purchase. 250-287-3665

  • 13th Annual Angel Rock Benefit & Dance – CR Hospice Society’s major fundraising event of the year. Takes place at Thunderbird Hall and the theme is New Orleans/Mardi Gras – come in costume or in your best ‘black & white’. Lots of entertainment and a delicious meal catered by the Royal Coachman.   • Annual Dinner & Art Auction with Nyuymbalees Cultural Centre at the Quinsam Hall.   • The Campbell River Judo Club is holding their annual Spring Market & Craft Fair at their studio (450B Merecroft Street), May 3rd from 10am-4pm.
