Tuesday, April 8th

  • Worldwide Cycling Presentation at Swicked Cycles (1791 Spruce Street) featuring Vision Travel’s Pat Rochon. Pat has explored/immersed himself in the cultures of 137 different countries and touched all seven continents. He has a wealth of knowledge, offering tips and humour on how to experience our world at a human pace. This free presentation is for the cyclist and non cyclist, families and athletes, all levels of comfort and budget interested in exploring the world on two wheels. Wednesday, April 9th

Friday, April 11th

  • Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a professional chef? Or an aircraft structures technician? How about a heavy duty mechanic? North Island College and School District #72 invite you to explore trades careers at the Education & Industry Expo. Learn more about Culinary Arts, Electrical, Electronics, Metal Jewelry Design, Welding, Aircraft Structures and Heavy Duty Mechanics from 10am-2pm at NIC’s Campbell River campus. Saturday, April 12th  

  • Quadra Island Community Market & Bazaar: arts, crafts, flea market finds, jewelry, soaps and more at the Quadra Community Centre, 10am. Yummy lunches, too – everyone welcome! Please call 250-285-3747 for more information. 
  • Head down to the Discovery Harbour Marina and Shopping Centre to visit Ocean Pacific’s Marine & Boat Show, 8am-4pm. 250-286-1011. 
  • Get ready for one of CR’s biggest reassure hunts at CR’s annual Plant & Jumble sale! 10am-1pm at the Community Centre - bargains galore! 250-286-1161. 
  • Hawaiian Beach Pool Party (7-12) at Strathcona Gardens (250-287-9234). The funky Hawaiian décor and music will set the mood for this pizza/pool party. Activities will include a hula hoop competition, pineapple bowling and limb contest; plus, staff will also be bringing out the surf/boogie boards, Dolphins and Sea Doos. $10 fee includes admission, snacks/pizza and Hawaiian luau party favors! 6-8pm. 
  • Island Voices Chamber Choir presents “The Rhythm of Life” with special guest Roger Helfrick (harpist), 7pm at the Maritime Heritage Centre. Tickets are available at the Campbell River Visitor Centre: Adults $18, Students/Seniors $15 (payable with cash or cheque).  
  • Here’s a free, fun, family event for the kiddies: Come make/decorate your own Easter Critters, 1-3pm at Home Hardware.
