Tuesday, January 27th  
  • Family Literacy Week. More at www.literacyforall.ca. Keep an eye open for Clifford the Big Red Dog during the day as he attends family literacy events at both Coho Books and the Regional Library. Attend a free, Community Poetry Slam, held at Carihi, 6:30-8pm. Also, enjoy free Admission to the Museum at Campbell River this week, the 26th – 30th from 12pm-5pm. 
  • Stuart McLean & the Vinyl Café at the Tidemark Theatre! The hit radio show’s 2015 Tour will feature two brand new Dave & Morley stories and live music. Tickets are $55/$35; Call 250-287-7465 for more information or to purchase tickets.
Thursday, January 29th       
  • Night Skiing at Mt Washington. Available from 3:30-9pm, every Thursday-Sunday until April 18th.

Friday, January 30th
  • “The Smell of Money” is a two-act play and comedic musical satire making its debut at the Heriot Bay Inn on Quadra. Two Nights Only! Two-course dinner & show for $34.95 or ‘Show only’ tickets for $20. Call 250-285-3322 to reserve your seats!
Saturday, January 31st  
  • Super Saturday: Celebrating Doris Ritchie. In tribute to the local watercolourist and founding member of the Art Gallery, use perspective to paint watercolour images of the Building. Free, drop-in art for all ages, 1-3pm; 250-287-2261. 
  • Meet the Haig-Brown Writer in Residence! David Carpenter taught English Literature and earned a PhD before being a full-time writer in the 1990s. He continues to teach creative writing at the Banff Centre and has published 12 books, fiction and non-fiction, five of which have won awards. Join him from 1-2:30pm at the Museum where he will read from his most recent work and open up the floor to questions. Call 250-287-3103 to register. 
  • 27th Annual Bowl for Breath, raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. There are several shifts to choose from and each participant bowls two games. Register through participating schools or call Cindy at 250-923-3382. Lots of prizes to be won! 
  • Laughopolis Comedy Combo show at the Discovery Community Church. Professional Improv and Stand-up Comedy with The Panic Squad and Leland Klassen. Tickets are $15 or $49 for the family. Call 250-287-8786 for more information.

Sunday, February 1st
  • All Stars Hockey Competition at Strathcona Gardens. Join our skate shop staff for a fun-filled afternoon of hockey skill challenges. Goofy prizes awarded for skills and an obstacle course. Lots of fun for hockey players or all ages and experience. Call 250-287-9234 for details.
